Route 66 used to cross Diablo Canyon just east of Flagstaff, Arizona before Interstate 40 was built. The old Route 66 bridge still stands there today along with the remnants of what used to be the Two Guns Trading Post. Back in the 1970s, Two Guns was a campground and roadside attraction along Route 66, complete with a zoo full of roadrunners, coyotes, Gila monsters, and mountain lions. Two Guns is now eerily reminiscent of a ghost town, and the mountain lion sign can still be seen from I-40 among the crumbling structures.
