Disappearing Downtown 7/5/2013

Even though I've seen many closed and abandon businesses along Route 66 so far, Downtown Commerce, Oklahoma is virtually a ghost town, as you can see from the pictures. An old Conoco Station is the main attraction for drivers looking for photo ops in this old Route 66 mining town. Commerce is also the boyhood home of the late, former New York Yankees baseball star, Mickey Mantle.
