That's Service! 7/3/2013

There are plenty of old gas stations along Route 66, but according to our Route 66 guidebook, the Shell station in Mount Olive, Illinois claims to be the oldest surviving service station. Although no longer in business, Soulsby's Service Station has been restored and is a landmark and photo op for visitors passing through town on Route 66. The old yellow gas pumps are so cool!
