Driving into Galena, Kansas is like driving into a scene from the movie, Cars. And guess who was sitting there waiting to greet us? None other than the original Tow Mater himself! Dad Gum! The manager of the Cars on the Route 66 Store, Amber, told us that the Tow Mater in the parking lot was originally named Tow Tater by the locals, and was the inspiration of the Tow Mater character in Cars. She also said the building across the street was used as one of the locations where Lightning McQueen and Mater were parked together. Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. Ka-Chow!
