Spending the night at the Route 66 Motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico brings back childhood memories of when my parents would stay at motels during our road trips across the country. You still need a real door key to open your door, not one of those key cards you use at modern hotels. The rooms have the original chairs that were there when the motel opened in 1964, and they're as comfy as ever! And the owners let me borrow their hair dryer because I forgot mine. Thank you for being so hospitable!
