Red Roads 7/8/2013

Just outside of the western part of Albuquerque, New Mexico, there's a place where Route 66 merges into Interstate 40 West. However, if you continue on the path Route 66 should have gone, you run right off the pavement onto a red dirt road. I decided to see where that dirt road would lead to, and it took me to a gorgeous view of the mountains. The red dirt road also runs adjacent to I-40, and you can still see the Interstate traffic whizzing by behind me.
