Double Feature 7/2/2013

After driving nearly 250 miles to Springfield, Illinois, it was time for a nice little break. One of the neat things about Route 66 back in its heyday was the drive-in movie theater. Most of the drive-ins along the highway are now abandoned, but the Route 66 Twin Drive-In on Recreation Drive in Springfield is one of the very few still providing entertainment for the masses. So I decided to take in a double feature to wrap up my first day on the road. I ordered a pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and black olive pizza and watched the first movie, Monsters University, with my son, Logan. But Logan fell asleep for the second flick, which was Ironman 3, and my dog, Mu Shu, ate the rest of the pizza. :-)
