Greetings!
In just one more week it will be summer vacation and I'll be planning my adventure to travel Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles in order to observe, investigate and compare the historical significance of the highway's past to its present in order to teach our students about the history associated with America's highways and communities.
Thank you Fund for Teachers for this amazing opportunity. This national nonprofit organization makes it possible for teachers to self-design their summer fellowships. This is my second time as a FFT Fellow. I was fortunate enough to go to Oaxaca, Mexico in the summer of 2006 with their support.
